Chapter 24: Love is Stronger Than Death

Marine’s POV

After I finished off Saffron, I could feel the life leaving me. I was going to use the dagger to heal myself, but Robotnik came. I knew he had that flower with him, so I had to do what I planned to do with the flower from the second I found out it was keeping him alive: burn it down with a match.

I succeeded in that, but I felt the life leaving me. Seconds after I told Charmy that I loved him, I died.

But as I started to head into the light, I could feel something pulling me back. I didn’t understand. I died, so why was I not going into the light?

Charmy’s POV

She told me she loved me! The true girl I love, and she died because she saved me!

I held Marine close to me, and through tears, I told everyone that I loved her to. It wasn’t fair! This was all Robotniks’ fault! He should stay dead, and not Marine!

As I cried, I noticed the dagger that he wanted earlier. I began to wonder, why did he want it in the first place? But seconds later, I got my answer.

A Sunlilac was carved on the blade for design, and that’s when a strange idea formed in my mind.

Carefully, I pressed the blade of the dagger on Marine’s wounds. To my surprise and excitement, it healed her wounds instead of made them worse.

But Marine still wasn’t breathing, and I felt the hope leaving me. I didn’t know what to do next, so I kissed her on the lips.

My first kiss, and my love was already dead.

I pulled back, but that’s when I felt someone gripping my hand. I looked at Marine, and that’s when I noticed her blue eyes. She came back to life!

No One’s POV

Charmy: Marine?

Marine: Charmy…

Charmy: Marine! Oh thank god! You’re okay!

The two hugged while everyone started to cheer with joy. When the broke the hug, Marine pulled Charmy to her face and kissed him back.

Once the two broke the kiss, Charmy’s mother came up with a warming smile.

Bea: Well, since you two can now be together, when you’re at the age, you can be married.

*Seven Years later*

Charmy stared out the window to look at his and Marine’s kingdom. Honeycomb and Floramora had never been happier ever since he and Marine took  the throne. The kingdoms became one and after being married for about four years, he and Marine had two children.

Charmy left the window to go and sit with Marine. She was holding their son, a two year old Bee, in her arms, while their daughter, a four year old raccoon, was sleeping on her lap. Charmy smiled and picked up his daughter and cradled her in his arms.

Charmy: I’m glad that I met you, my sweet pirate.

Marine: And I’m happy that I found you, my sweet prince.
